20 years ago: “a summer afternoon, myself sitting with my mother on the stairs, at the entrance of the living room. My mother was sipping tea from a white china cup which had blue details on it while applying oil in my hair and combing them. Me asking her to hurry up, so I could go and play outdoors with my cousins and neighborhood friends.”
It was a daily ritual and I have so many fond memories of that time and ‘that simple yet invaluable moment’ is carved into my mind. But I have no physical memory (photographs) of that moment. I am sure, you all have such memories as well. And no photographs to speak for them. Wherein, we enter the picture with this photo-shoot “A Day in Your Life”, an outside the box way of capturing the memories which you will cherish for a lifetime.
Posed pictures are beautiful and so are the smiles captured but what makes this photo-shoot special is that every single frame captures a beautiful moment of your life in an organic way (no requirement of getting dressed up and no posing instructions etc.)
A lifetime is composed of a lot of days. Often what we forget or think that we forgot are life’s most mundane moments but somehow unique to us and, looking back at life’s end, most memorable. Then there are the special moments, like engagement ceremony, getting married, the birth of the first baby, and more. But behind these special moments are mundane preparations, sleepless nights, the anxiety of what’s to come, family meetings on how to make it happen, and on and on and on. A day in the life shoot documents a collection of those ‘not-so-special-at-the-time’ moments in a 24 hour period as it happens in your life, in your house.
Let the day unfold naturally. Round the clock (24 hrs), we will capture all the exciting things such as playtime with your little ones, a walk in the park, a cup of tea with parents in the evening, dinnertime with family, sharing chores with your spouse while having a light-hearted laugh, story time at night, and tons of snuggles, hugs and kisses with your kids. And we will also capture the not so exciting parts of your routine like brushing teeth for kids, giving them baths, dropping them off at the bus stop or school and then rushing to the office and being away from family the whole day and what not.
All these moments will not just be with you in your mind and heart but also in photographs, which you can all look at later and revisit all those times spent together.
The best place to document a day in your life is your house. Capturing details of your house along with the smiles is the next best thing. Every house has its own unique story just like the family does. There is always some trinket or family heirloom that has been passed from one generation to another which holds special place in their heart, Some traditions that they cherish, some element of home decor such as a stained carpet or a wall scribbled with crayons which brings smile on their faces, a family pet which is an equally important member of the family and so on.
Including grandparents in pictures is often a sacred detail to capture because many times the kids lose their grandparents by the time they grow up. And they forget what they had with their grandparents. These photographs will depict the relationship and bonding they shared with them when they were kids.
Give us an opportunity to tell your story with our unique perspective. Allow us to document an ordinary day in your life in an extraordinary way.
